Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Penelope Luna has lived in San Antonio for 12 years. She currently attends Saint Mary’s Hall High School as a junior and has also furthered her educational studies at Johns Hopkins University in the summer. Penelope is an ambitious teenager with many hobbies such as playing volleyball, reading, fostering dogs, writing, and spending time with family and friends. She began this foundation about a year ago in hopes of providing financial aid to struggling hospice patients and their families. In addition to Luna’s Hope and Love Foundation, Penelope runs a non-profit organization designed to provide scholarships for childhood cancer survivors pursuing higher education, Kids4Kids with Cancer. She is also the Executive Director for Legal Legacy Project, which provides communities with free legal and educational services. With a love for helping others and a passion for science, Penelope plans to pursue a degree in biology in college before attending medical school to become a doctor. She is thrilled to have her family and close friends helping her in her endeavors and hopes she can make a positive impact on the lives of others in her community.
A native of the Rio Grande Valley, Diego York-Alanis has lived in the San Antonio area for 15 years. He is currently a junior at Lutheran High School of San Antonio where he is active in sports. Since freshman year, Diego has been a member of his high school varsity team. He also enjoys playing on a select baseball team throughout the year. His interests include fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. Upon completing high school, he is looking forward to studying in the field of Business.
A proud Texan born and raised in San Antonio, Mia presently is a Sophomore at Geneva School of Boerne. She spends most of her free time in competitive speech and dancing all over the country. She has a huge heart for helping families who struggle to keep food on the table and since the age of seven, has organized food drives with the San Antonio Food Bank and Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries. Mia plans to one day become a pediatric nurse.
Sylver was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Sylver started his educational career at the Montessori school of San Antonio in 2010. He graduated 8th grade from the Montessori School in 2018. Sylver currently attends Cornerstone Christian School in San Antonio. He has been playing soccer since the age of three. Sylver is a starting player for the Cornerstone Varsity soccer team. He also plays club soccer for Forza in Austin and is on the Olympic Development Program team for South Texas. Sylver’s favorite subjects in school are math and history. His hobbies include cooking, playing soccer in different countries, and spending time with his dog Magic. Sylver has a GPA of 3.89 and plans to attend Chester University in Chester, England. Chester University will reinforce and sustain Sylver’s dream of playing professional soccer. Sylver will have the opportunity to perfect the game that he loves while earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business.
Arabella was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Her educational career started at the Montessori School of San Antonio in 2011. Arabella will graduate from the Montessori School in May of 2021. Arabella plays competitive volleyball and enjoys playing the piano and ukulele. Her favorite subjects in school are English and Science. Arabella’s favorite book is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. A few of Arabella’s hobbies include singing, baking, crafting, and spending time with her pet pigs, Piglet and Peppa. Arabella enjoys volunteering at the annual Salvation Army shoe give away. Arabella will attend Cornerstone Christian School for her high school education. She is planning to pursue an acting career.
